Dr. Thomas Körner is a European Patent Attorney. As such, he is a member of the Institute of Professional Representatives before the European Patent Office (epi) and his profession is governed by the Code of Conduct of the Institute and the Regulation on Discipline for Professional Representatives issued by the Administrative Council of the European Patent Organisation, also to be found on the web pages of epi. 

He is also a Swiss Patent Attorney within the meaning of the Swiss Patent Attorney Act ("Bundesgesetz über die Patentanwältinnen und Patentanwälte"). The profession is governed by the act and the Patent Attorney Ordinance ("Patentanwaltsverordnung").

In addition, he is a German Patent Agent ("Patentassessor") within the meaning of the German Patent Attorney Regulation ("Patentanwaltsordnung vom 7. September 1966 (BGBl. I S. 557), die durch Artikel 5 Absatz 13 des Gesetzes vom 10. Oktober 2013 (BGBl. I S. 3799) geändert worden ist").
